Richard Bagudu, a legal consultant with MCAF Associates, holds a Doctorate degree in Commercial Law, a Master of Laws Degree in Corporate Management and Finance Law from Lagos State University, Nigeria and a Master of Intellectual Property from Franklin Pierce Law Center, now University of New Hampshire Law School, Concord. Bagudu was a former in-house counsel and head of Legal and Insurance at Elf Oil Nigeria Limited, a multi-national oil company (now TotalFina Nigeria Limited). He was also a Staff Attorney at the Washington DC office of WilmerHale, an international law firm. His practice areas include International Law, Corporate Law, Securities, Intellectual Property, Commercial Transactions, and Arbitration. Bagudu’s book, Judging Annan, was published in 2007. Bagudu was the editor-in-chief of the Lawyers’ Digest, a Bendel State University Faculty of Law (now Ambrose Alli University) Journal, 1989-1990. He is licensed to practice law in the States of New York, Maryland, the District of Columbia and in Nigeria.
